Westhampton Beach July 4, 2018: Where To Find Fireworks, Parades

The fireworks will take place on July 4 at nightfall in Westhampton Beach.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY - In one of the most beloved fireworks displays of the year in the Hamptons, the Westhampton County Club puts on a spectacular display of Grucci dazzlers each year at their annual July 4 party, a show that's enjoyed by the entire community, who line up on the streets to watch.

This year, the fireworks will take place at the Westhampton Country Club on Potunk Lane on Wednesday, July 4, when the sun goes down. The event has been enjoyed for generations, and is a beloved Westhampton Beach tradition.

Here's a rundown on July 4 festivities around the South Fork:

- The fun begins with the North Sea Fire Department Carnival, which runs through Tuesday, July 2; the event, held at Fireman's Field, 149 Noyac Road in North Sea, includes two dazzling fireworks displays, on Sunday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 3 at 10 p.m.

- Bring a blanket and watch a beloved Sag Harbor tradition come to life at the annual fireworks display on June 30.

- One of the best East End fireworks displays of the season burst into life as the Southampton Fresh Air Home's 31st Annual American Picnic with Fireworks by Grucci takes place on Saturday, June 30 at 7 p.m. The event takes place at 1030 Meadow Lane, but the spectacular fireworks over Shinnecock Bay can be seen from other spots in the area. Festivities include games for kids, stilt walkers, magicians, an American picnic, food carts with ice cream,and hot dogs. The Southampton Fresh Air Home is a residential camp with a specialized recreation program adapted for physically challenged children, the majority of whom will receive scholarships to attend. - On July 4, the "largest 4th of July parade" on Long Island kicks off in Southampton from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The parade leaves from Railroad Plaza and continues down North Main, Main Street, Jobs Lane.

- The popular "Stars Over Montauk" fireworks display takes place on July 4.

- Dazzling fireworks are set for July 7 on Shelter Island.

- Devon Yacht Club in Amagansett will present its annual fireworks show on July 7.

- A beloved East Hampton tradition, the 38th annual fireworks celebration, "The Great Bonac Fireworks Show," hosted by The Clamshell Foundation & Grucci, takes place Saturday, July 14, just after 9 p.m. over Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton, this year dedicated to Ben and Bonnie Krupinksi.

In addition, the 27th Annual Sandcastle Contest takes place on August 4 at Atlantic Avenue Beach in Amagansett. The contest is open to all ages and runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The fireworks spectacular continues after the passing of Rossetti Perchik, founder of The Clamshell Foundation, who died in 2016; Rossetti's personal financial contributions were primarily responsible for making the fireworks happen since The Clamshell Foundation took over the event. But the tradition lives on: Both events are possible through the community's continued support.

- The East Hampton Fire Department will host its fireworks show on Aug. 25 at Main Beach.
