WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Westhampton Beach Middle School was one of 29 Long Island schools that made Niche.com's 2018 list of the top 100 public middle schools in New York State.
Westhampton Beach Middle School was ranked No. 55 on the list.
Long Island schools made up half of the top 10, with Great Neck South Middle School ranking as the top school in New York.

The rankings and review website sorted the 19,710 middle schools nationwide based on key student statistics and 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 students and parents.
A high ranking, according to Niche, indicates that a school “is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students and faculty, and the students are very happy with their experiences.”
