Westhampton Beach Named 'Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence'

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Westhampton Beach High School athletes made their hometown proud recently: The New York State Public High School Athletic Association named Westhampton Beach High School a Scholar-Athlete School of Excellence for the 2020 to 2021 school year, the district said.

To earn the recognition, 75 percent of the school’s 20 varsity teams were required to hold a GPA above 90 percent, the district said.

Westhampton Beach High School is among 124 schools to receive the designation, according to the district.
