Westhampton Beach Student Honored For Giving Back to Teens In Need
The Westhampton Beach High School junior won the Prudential Spirit of Community award for her giving heart.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — A Westhampton Beach student who's dedicated herself to helping other teens in needs was rewarded for her giving heart recently.
Westhampton Beach High School junior Ariana DeMattei was presented with the 2017 top School Youth Volunteer medallion as part of the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program on Friday, the district said.
She was selected for the honor based on her volunteer accomplishments, including her five-year-old Backpacks for Fellow Students project.
