Good morning, Westhampton-Hampton Bays neighbors and friends.

In the news today, the community is rallying to help a woman who lost everything in a devastating fire. Allyson Scerri, founder of New Beginnings and the Brendan House, has offered the woman, who has a traumatic brain injury, a place to stay as she struggles to face the future.

Scerri, who grew up in Westhampton, will host a fundraiser for New Beginnings and Brendan House organization, which helps patients with TBIs, at the Westhampton Country Club this June.

This is the kind of story that just epitomizes why the East End is such a special place to live. Neighbors and friends join hearts and hands to help, in times of crisis. It's the reason so many of us call this magical corner of the world home.

Until tomorrow. . . .
