Westhampton Library Promotes Upcoming Art Shows

The Westhampton Library will be showcasing work from two local artists over the next two months in the library's gallery.

In September, the library presents Robert Mehling. Mehling holds an MFA from Long Island University. He specializes in illusion still life oil paintings that bridge contemporary and classical realist traditions. "I paint stories of humble objects in the language of light," Mehling is quoted in the library's promotional description. 

In October, make way for local middle school art teacher Lise Frielinghaus, who will present her mixed media paintings of dogs Dieter and Daphne as famous paintings from history.
