Westhampton Students Celebrate Olympics
The kids transformed the hallways in their middle school into an Olympic village, the district says.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — As Olympic fever sweeps the world, students close to home celebrated the athletes this week.
To celebrate the 2022 Winter Olympics, Westhampton Beach Middle School students have transformed their school’s hallways into an Olympic village, the Westhampton Beach Union Free School District said.
The initiative, spearheaded by the school’s student council, inspired students to team up, select a country and decorate a classroom door. Doors featured flags, facts about Olympians, and creativity.
