Woman Charged After Verbally Threatening Child: Police

SHINNECOCK HILL, NY —A 41-year-old mother from Shinnecock HIlls was arrested Tuesday after verbally threatening a child, police said.

The woman was arrested at 11:37 a.m. after she went to a juvenile's home to confront him about an incident at school involving him and one of her children, Southampton Town police said.

After threatening him, the woman was charged with one count of misdemeanor threatening the welfare of a child, police said. She was processed and taken to court for arraignment, police said.
