Woman Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Pole, Fleeing On Foot: PD
She crashed in Speonk, police say.
SPEONK, NY — A Nesconset woman was arrested Monday night in Speonk and charged with driving while intoxicated after she drove off the road, hit a telephone pole, and fled from the scene on foot, police said.
The incident took place at 11:49 p.m. on Montauk Highway; Samantha Baltieri, 30, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor DWI and leaving the scene of a property damage crash, Southampton Town police said.
Officers located Baltieri in the area and determined that she was driving while intoxicated, police said. She was taken to Southampton Town Police headquarters for arrest processing and held for morning arraignment, police said.
