Woman Fraudulently Used Employer's Bank Account To Pay Bills: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Hampton Bays woman was arrested after she fraudulently used her employer's banking information to pay more than $1,800 toward her personal bills in 2021, police said.

Melanie Silva, 27, was arrested on December 9 and charged with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, Southampton Town Police said. She was given a field appearance ticket to appear in justice court at a later date, police said.
