Woman Used Counterfeit Bills At 7-Eleven In Hamptons: Cops
She was arrested and charged for buying gift cards with counterfeit money, police say.

WESTHAMPTON, NY — A Brooklyn woman was charged with using counterfeit money to buy gift cards in Westhampton, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, Kaylynn M. Dyer, 30, was arrested on Sept. 24 and charged with first degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony, stemming from a 2017 incident when Dyer attempted to use counterfeit bills to purchase several gift cards at 7-Eleven.
Dyer was identified through a Crime Stoppers Tip and arrested by Suffolk County Police Department First Precinct officers on separate charges; she was later turned over to Southampton Town Police, processed by detectives, and held for morning arraignment at Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
