Wrong-Way Driver Charged With DWI In Hamptons: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A Huntington woman was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after driving the wrong way down a Hampton Bays roadway, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, the incident took place on July 11 at 11:35 p.m. on Flanders Road and Old Riverhead Road.

Delanna Richardson, 28, was stopped and found to be intoxicated by alcohol; she was subsequently arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said.

She was charged with misdemeanor DWI, police said.
