Zeldin Heads to Westhampton Beach to Talk Fire Island to Montauk Point Project
The congressman is encouraging the public to participate in the comment period.

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Congressman Lee Zeldin wants the voice of the people to be heard.
To that end, Rep. Zeldin, a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will be heading to Westhampton Beach Thursday to discuss the next phase of the Fire Island to Montauk Point Project.
The plan is now $1.16 billion project that contains funding for essential dredging and shoreline projects across the first congressional district, Zeldin said.

Zeldin, who will be joined by other elected officials and community members, said he plans to encourage residents to become engaged in the now-open public comment period.
The event will take place at Westhampton Beach Village Hall Thursday at 11:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
