3 Armed Robberies Reported At 7-Elevens Across Suffolk: PD
Police are investigating if the three incidents that occurred over the weekend are related.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Police are investigating three 7-Eleven armed robberies that occurred across Suffolk County this past weekend and are believed to be connected.
First on Saturday, the 7-Eleven on 613 Broadhollow Road in Melville was robbed at about 1:41 a.m., police said.
A man entered the business, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and demanded cash from an employee at the counter.

The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries.

On Sunday, a second robbery was reported at the 7-Eleven on 56 Lowell Avenue in Islip Terrace at about 2:15 a.m.

Once again a man entered the 7-Eleven, displayed what appeared to be a handgun, and demanded cash from an employee at the counter.
The employee complied and the suspect fled the scene on foot. There were no injuries.

The third robbery was reported Sunday night at the 7-Eleven on 140 Little East Neck Road in West Babylon at about 9:40 p.m.
Like the first two robberies, a man entered the convenience store and displayed what appeared to be a handgun.
The man stole cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes before running out of the store and fleeing the scene on foot. There were no injuries.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that the three robberies are related and are asking anyone with information to contact Major Case Unit detectives at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
