91-Year-Old Man Struck By Car In West Islip Critically Injured
The driver was also injured, police say.

WEST ISLIP, NY – A 91-year-old West Islip man is in critical condition after he was struck by a car Monday morning, Suffolk Police said.
According to police, Vincent Curto was struck by a 2015 Hyundai Genesis that was traveling westbound on Kimberly Place, east of Higbie Lane, in West Islip at about 8:40 a.m.
Curto was transported by the West Islip Fire Department Rescue Squad to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore The driver of the Hyundai, Peter Porzio, 50, of West Islip, was also taken to Southside Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The car was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing and detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
