• 48-year-old man found floating unconscious in Great South Bay, police say (newsday.com) — A 48-year-old man is in serious condition at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip after being found unconscious while clamming in the Great South Bay off Tanner Park in Copiague. A passerby pulled him from the water and began CPR before paramedics continued treatment, and Suffolk County detectives are now investigating the circumstances and asking witnesses to come forward.
