Spanish and world language classes are building a collaborative "Together, We Fly" mural and writing biographies of notable Hispanic figures, giving local students a hands-on way to explore identity, arts, sports, and science.
   

• Volleyball Recap: Hauppauge's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Five (maxpreps.com) — West Islip's girls volleyball team dropped a tight 3–2 match to Hauppauge on Wednesday, their second straight loss, bringing their record to 1–5. Despite being edged in total points, Hauppauge pulled out the win and now rides a five-game streak, while West Islip looks to regroup before hosting Smithtown West on October 9.
