Burglar Steals Christmas Presents From West Islip Home: Police

WEST ISLIP, NY - Two burglaries were reported in West Islip a block away from each other on Monday, according to Suffolk Police.

The first burglary occurred at a Milligan Lane home between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The homeowner reported that wrapped Christmas presents were stolen.

There was also a burglary the next block over on Pease Lane that occurred between noon and 8 p.m., police said.

Jewelry was stolen from that home.

Detectives do not believe the two burglaries are connected. Both investigations are continuing.
