Couple Stole Tortoise From West Islip Reptile Pet Shop

The man and woman were caught on camera stealing the tortoise this past weekend.

WEST ISLIP, NY - A couple stole a tortoise from a West Islip reptile pet shop on Sunday afternoon.

Suffolk Police confirmed the theft was reported at Repxotica Rare Reptiles located on 19 Udall Road at about 3 p.m.

The man and woman were caught on surveillance stealing the leopard tortoise from the store.

The two distracted an employee before walking away with the reptile. They then fled in a black Ford f150.
