East Islip Students Raise Over 30K for St. Jude’s
The students earned $30,801 for the children's hospital.

EAST ISLIP, NY — East Islip students put their math skills to work at Timber Point Elementary School’s annual Math-a-Thon this spring, raising $30,801 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Kindergarteners, first graders, and second graders participated in the annual fundraiser, earning the highest yearly total in the school’s history.
“This is a tradition we are extremely proud of and look forward to continuing each year,” said teachers and Math-a-Thon coordinators Michelle Kilkelly and Carolyn McGee. “We are so proud of our students and thank the families for their hard work and support of this wonderful cause.”

The school has donated over $196,422 for St. Jude’s since 2003.
