Fire Breaks Out In West Islip Home

A fire broke out at a West Islip home on Friday morning, Suffolk County Police say.

WEST ISLIP, NY — A fire broke out at a West Islip home on Friday morning, Suffolk County Police said.

According to the West Islip Fire Department, firefighters arrived at a home on Sylvia Drive and quickly stretched hose lines. Additional fire crews arrived shortly after, and the fire took about 45 minutes to bring under control, fire officials said.

Suffolk County Police confirmed that people were home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.
