Firefighters Rescue Person Trapped Inside Overturned Car
The crash occurred early Friday morning.
WEST ISLIP, NY - Members of the West Islip Fire Department rescued a person who was trapped in a car after an accident in West Islip early Friday morning.
The department received a report of a heavy rescue on the corner of Willets Lane and Montauk Highway at about 12:13 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found an overturned car with an occupant trapped inside.

Members successfully removed the person from the car, who was then transported safely to a local hospital.
No other injuries were reported. The condition of the victim is unknown.
