Group Home Manager Stole Over $1K From Special Needs Persons: PD
The 27-year-old stole cash from the residents while working at the group home, police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY - An East Meadow woman was arrested on Wednesday for stealing money from 11 special needs persons at a group home in West Babylon, according to Suffolk Police.
Unique Williams, 27, was the resident manager at the Maryhaven Center of Hope group home on 720 Albin Avenue when she took $1,889 in cash from the 11 resident’s accounts on December 4, 2017, police said.
A supervisor from the group home noticed a discrepancy in the accounts and contacted police.

After a thorough investigation, officers arrested Williams at the First Precinct on September 19 at 10:30 p.m., police said.
Williams was charged with 11 counts of petty larceny. She will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on November 28.
