Long Island Forecast: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued
Thunderstorms may produce damaging winds, the National Weather Service says. We also have details on the next snow chance.

The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for most of Long Island:
There is a small chance for severe thunderstorms Wednesday evening, with the main threat being from damaging wind gusts.
Highs on Wednesday could reach 65 degrees, but Mother Nature will remind us it's still winter come Friday when there's a chance of some light snow.

Tuesday- A 20 percent chance of light rain after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 56. East wind 3 to 8 mph.
Tuesday Night- A slight chance of light rain before 8pm, then rain likely, mainly between 8pm and 3am. Patchy fog after 8pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 50. South wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday- A chance of rain or light rain before 7am, then light rain likely between 7am and 5pm, then showers with light rain likely after 5pm. Areas of fog before 1pm. High near 65. Breezy, with a south wind 7 to 12 mph increasing to 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Wednesday Night- Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and 1am. Low around 45. West wind 14 to 17 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday- Sunny, with a temperature falling to around 44 by 10am.
Thursday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 25.
Friday- A chance of light snow between 10am and 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
Friday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 22.
