Law Firm Delivers Hundreds Of Meals To Hospital Workers Across LI
The group, which works to advocate for first responders, has been delivering meals to front-line workers all across LI during the pandemic.

LONG ISLAND, NY — A New York City-based law firm has been working to donate hundreds of meals to the front-line medical workers during the coronavirus pandemic at hospitals across Long Island and Manhattan. Barasch McGarry law firm, which works to advocate for first responders and the 9/11 community, most recently delivered meals to the employees at Good Samaritan Medical Hospital in West Islip on Saturday.
In the past, they have also provided meals for medical professionals at Glen Cove Hospital, New York Presbyterian in Manhattan, Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan, St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, NYU Winthrop Hospital in Mineola, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown, Stony Brook University Hospital, and Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

In addition, the group has provided free snacks and sports drinks to 14 local police precincts, in partnership with the FealGood Foundation, the Retired Sergeants Association of the New York City Police Department, and the New York State Fraternal Order of Police, Nassau Police Lodge 69, and groceries have been delivered to local food pantries for distribution.
"These people are our heroes – they need to be fed and they need to be taken care of, so they can take care of us," Michael Barasch, Managing Partner of Barasch McGarry said. "In this time of need, we are proud to support first responders who have been forced to sleep in their cars and the medical providers working extended shifts to protect the public health. We owe them all an enormous debt of gratitude."
