Man Armed With Needle Robbed Long Island Gas Station

WEST BABYLON, NY - Suffolk Police are looking for a man who they say stole merchandise from a West Babylon gas station and threatened the clerk with a needle last month.

The man, armed with a needle, entered BP Gas at 331 Farmingdale Road and demanded cash from the clerk on March 13 at 2:20 p.m.

The clerk told him there was no money, took the station’s cordless phone and walked out to the parking lot.

The robber followed the clerk out to the front of the station, grabbed the phone from him and threw it onto the grass next to the building.

He went back inside the station where he stole multiple packs of Newport cigarettes and multiple 100 Win $2 New York State Lottery scratch off tickets (numbers 243-250).

The robber then fled on foot towards Eckert Avenue.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
