Man Caught Driving With Over 40 License Suspensions: Police

The 47-year-old was pulled over for not wearing his seat belt, police say.

WEST BABYLON, NY - A West Babylon was caught driving with over 40 license suspensions in West Babylon early Thursday, according to Suffolk Police.

Officers pulled over a 2005 Toyota Sequoia at the corner of Straight Path and 14th Street at 11:55 a.m. after they observed the two occupants not wearing seatbelts, police said.

Officers determined the driver, 47-year-old Frank Cairo, was driving with a license that had been suspended 41 times on 17 dates, police said.

Cairo was charged with first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

The passenger, 55-year-old Barney Sangemino, of Riverhead, was charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance for possessing Suboxone without a prescription, police said.
