
Police are searching for a man who robbed a West Islip bank Wednesday evening.
According to police, the man entered the Capital One Bank located at 450 Union Boulevard at about 5:45 p.m. and gave a teller a note demanding cash.
The teller complied and gave the man cash from the drawer, police said. The robber fled on foot in a westerly direction through the parking lot.

The suspect was described as white, between 35 and 40-years-old, and about 6-feet tall. He was wearing sunglasses, a baseball hat, a gray T-shirt and blue jeans, police said.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
