Man Shot Inside Bay Shore Barbershop

The 30-year-old victim is in critical condition, police say.

A 30-year-old man was critically injured after being shot twice inside a Bay Shore barbershop early Thursday, police said.

According to police, the man was at Headfellas Barber Shop, located at 1773 Union Boulevard, when he was shot twice in the abdomen. He left the barbershop and collapsed in front of Domino’s Pizza at 1765 Union Boulevard. A bystander discovered him on the ground and called 911 at 12:29 a.m.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition, police said. The investigation is continuing.

It is unclear why anyone was in the barbershop after midnight. The business closes at 7 p.m., according to its Yelp listing.
