Music at St. Peter's presents "The Art of Song"
The professional section leaders of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Bay Shore, will be presented in Concert.
On Sunday, February 21 at 4:00 pm, Music at St. Peter’s (St. Peter’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 500 South Country Road (Montauk Hwy.) will present the four professional section leaders of the Parish Choir in concert. Victoria Wolfe, soprano; Christopher Reames, tenor; and Zen Kuriyama, baritone, will be accompanied at the piano by Kanako Reames. Kathleen O’Rourke, soprano will sing two songs by 16th century composer Caccini, accompanied by George England, theorbo. Mr. England, who was featured in a series concert last October, will perform two 16th century works for solo Theorbo, which is a bass lute. Other music featured on the program will include works of Vaughan Williams, Strauss, American Spirituals, contemporary composer Libby Larsen, and others. A Wine and Cheese Reception will follow the concert. All are invited!
