New York 2nd Most Fun State In The U.S: Report

NEW YORK - One of the best parts about living in New York is that there are always fun things to do -- and WalletHub agrees.

The website recently created a list of the most fun states in the U.S. and New York came in at number 2.

New York was beat out by its west-coast rival, California which ranked as the most fun state in the U.S. However New York did beat out Nevada, home to Las Vegas, which came in at number 3.

West Virginia was ranked the least fun state at number 50.

WalletHub created the list by comparing the states using 26 key indicators of a "jolly good time that won’t break the bank" including movie costs, accessibility of national parks and number of casinos per capita.

New York came in first for the most restaurants per capita, most movie theaters per capita, most performing arts theaters per capita, and most fitness centers per capita.
