New York Among Best States For Millennials: Report

Find out which states are the best and which are the worst for the most talked about generation.

NEW YORK - With millennials expected to be the largest generation by 2028, the question is which is the best state in the U.S. for all these early-20-to-early-30-year olds?

WalletHub looked to answer that question with their recent list ranking all 50 states and the District of Columbia on the best and worst states for millennials.

New York was ranked as one of the best states for millennials, coming in at number 19 on the list.

The District of Columbia came in as the top best state for millennials while New Mexico came in as the worst.

According to the website, millennials are responsible for 21 percent of all consumer discretionary spending in the U.S. yet earn 20 percent less than Baby Boomers did at the same age.

WalletHub complied the list by comparing each state and the District across 30 factors such as millennial unemployment rate and millennial voter-turnout rate.
