NEW YORK - New York recently ranked among the worst state in the U.S. for doctors according to a recent list complied by WalletHub.

The website ranked all 50 states in order of best to worst states for doctors based on 16 different criteria such as annual wage of physicians to hospitals per capita and quality of public hospital system.

New York was the third worst state for doctors, according to the list.

Some of the reasons that New York ranked so low included the fact that New York was among the top 5 states with the lowest annual wage for physicians, the highest projected competition by 2024, the highest malpractice payout and the most expensive annual malpractice liability insurance, according to the website.
