New York Ranked Among Least Stressed States

NEW YORK - New York recently ranked among the least stressed states in the U.S. according to a list created by WalletHub.

According to the website, stress levels have been rising since 2016 thanks to several stressors including the future of America, money and uncertainty about health care.

Despite stress levels rising overall for Americans, over the past year women's stress levels went up while men's stress level went down.

In terms of state, WalletHub ranked all 50 in the U.S. based on stress factors of residents such as the average hours worked per week, personal bankruptcy rate and average hours of sleep.

New York came in right around the middle at number 26 overall. However, New York ranked among the states with the least affordable housing coming in at number 4 along with Hawaii, Washington D.C., California and Oregon.

The number 1 most stressed state was Louisiana while Minnesota came in as the least stressed state.
