Northwell Health Sponsored West Islip High School Relay for Life

Northwell Health helped to make the West Islip High School Relay for Life event the success it was through the organization’s sponsorship of the event’s registration table.

There will be a new cancer center opening in Bay Shore later this year, which James Sullivan, MD, a surgical oncologist and director of robotic surgery at LIJ Medical Center in New Hyde Park, spoke about during the Relay for Life opening ceremony.

More than 20 volunteers from the Northwell Health Cancer Institute and Southside Hospital volunteered at this event; those volunteers led the caregiver lap at the Relay for Life event. Relay for Life attendees received bags filled with sunscreen samples, hand wipes and information about the new cancer center.
