Obituary: John R. S​ureau, of West Islip, Dies at 69

Died: December 6, 2016

Visitation: Friday, December 8 from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at The Fredrick J. Chapey and Sons West Islip Funeral Home on 1225 Montauk Highway in West Islip.

Service: Saturday, December 9 starting at 9:30 a.m. at the Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church in West Islip.

Obituary: John R. Sureau, of West Islip, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 6. He was 69.

He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret M. Sureau.

Sureau is also survived by his children Reverend John Sureau, Jr., Kimberly Anne and Michael James Sureau as well as his siblings Kathleen Lavigne and James Sureau.

In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Interment will take place at the St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in John's memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Outreach, 455 Hunter Avenue, West Islip, LI 11795.
