Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services Expand on Eastern Long Island
North Shore-LIJ Health System's physical medicine and rehabilitation services have increased.

Physical medicine and rehabilitation will be expanding its services on Eastern Long Island through the appointment of a new leader for the North Shore-LIJ Health System’s Eastern region as well as the addition of several new physicians to the health system.
Craig Rosenberg, MD, director of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, has been appointed director of rehabilitation strategic initiatives for the Eastern region. In this position, Dr. Rosenberg will be working on expanding and enhancing both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services in the Eastern region as well as optimizing the quality of patient care and patient experience at Glen Cove and Southside hospitals.
Dr. Rosenberg’s medical practice also recently joined the North Shore-LIJ Medical Group. The physicians in his medical practice include Sylvia John, MD, vice chair, department of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Southside Hospital; and Rosanna Sabini, DO, director of the North Shore-LIJ concussion program and the sports concussion program at Southside Hospital. These physicians are based out of 301 East Main Street in Bay Shore and specialize in the following areas:

Southside Hospital has accreditations from the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in comprehensive inpatient medical rehabilitation; stroke specialty rehabilitation; brain injury specialty rehabilitation; comprehensive outpatient medical rehabilitation for adults; and comprehensive outpatient medical rehabilitation for children and adolescents. Southside Hospital also features an acute inpatient, New York State-designated adult brain injury unit.
