Police Rescue Woman From House Fire in Brentwood
The woman was found unconscious by the door, police say.

Suffolk County Police officers rescued a woman from a house fire in Brentwood on Thursday night.
Third Precinct Police Officers Jesse Zuckerman, Darrell Randolph and Ronald Racioppi responded to a 911 call reporting a fire at 11 8th Avenue at 11:45 p.m., police said.
When officers arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames, according to police.

The officers entered the home and found an unconscious woman about 15 feet from the front door, police said.
They pulled her out of the home and administered oxygen, according to police.

She was transported via Brentwood Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she is being treated for smoke inhalation.
There were no injuries to two other adults and three children who were able to safely evacuate the house. Brentwood Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
Arson is investigating the cause of the fire that appears to be non-criminal at this time.
