Pair Who Stole $600 in Merchandise From West Islip Store: Police

The theft occurred earlier this year. Reward offered for info leading to an arrest.

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating two men who stole merchandise from a West Islip store over the summer.

On August 27, the two men pictured above entered West Marine, located at 147 Sunrise Service Road, took several items from the shelves and placed them into a backpack, police said.

The men left the store without paying for the items, which were worth approximately $600. The men fled from the store in a silver Mercedes-Benz with tinted windows, chrome rims and minor front end damage, police said.

The men are described as white, in their early to mid-20s with thin builds.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
