Snow Odds Increasing For Late Week, First Snowfall Estimates Released

Snow is now expected to accumulate on Long Island, the National Weather Service says.

A total of 2-3 inches of snow is expected to accumulate on Long Island Thursday night and Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow should be light, but it could lead to some messy roads during the Friday morning commute.

"At least for now, it does not look like a widespread nor'easter that would bring heavy snow to many areas," AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams said.
