Southside Hospital recently received the recognition of Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery (COERS) from the Surgical Review Corporation.

Robotic surgery has been shown to have benefits for patients including a quicker recovery time, less bleeding and often a smaller incision. Southside Hospital offers robotic surgical procedures in the following areas: colorectal, gynecology, urogynecology, gyn oncology, and thoracic.

“Having this designation shows our ability to consistently deliver the safest, highest-quality care to robotic surgery patients,” said Peter Finamore, MD, chief of urogynecology at Southside Hospital.
