Teen Injured In West Babylon Shooting: Police

The incident was reported in the same area where two people were found shot to death last month. It is unknown if the shootings are related.

WEST BABYLON, NY - A 17-year-old male was injured in a reported shooting in West Babylon on Wednesday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

The teen was inside a Westchester Avenue home when shots were fired through the house and struck him in the leg at 2:23 a.m.

He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is continuing.

The shooting was reported less than half a mile away from where a 21-year-old woman and her 22-year-old boyfriend were found shot to death last month. It is unknown if the two incidents are related.
