Teens Crash Stolen Car Into Police Vehicle While Escaping Cops: Police
Police chased the two from Bay Shore to Brentwood on Monday afternoon.

BRENTWOOD, NY - Two Bay Shore teens were arrested after fleeing from police in a stolen car and crashing into two cars, including a marked police car, in Brentwood Monday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police.
Terrance Jones, 18, was driving a 2004 Nissan Altima, which had been reported stolen, with passenger 18-year-old Daniel Austin, west on Pine Aire Drive, east of Sagtikos Parkway in Bay Shore, at 2 p.m., police said.
When an officer responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle tried to pulled him over, Jones fled and the officer began a pursuit, police said.

Near Long Island Avenue and Heartland Boulevard, Jones made a U-turn and hit a marked Third Precinct unit that had been following him, police said.
The two fled in the Nissan and proceeded to crash again at Route 111 and Spur Drive South, police said.

The men then fled on foot before being caught by Third Precinct police officers, police said.
Two officers were transported to a local hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released. Jones and Austin were not injured.
Third Squad detectives charged Jones with third degree grand larceny, second degree assault, second degree reckless endangerment, fourth degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and unlawfully fleeing the police, police said.
Austin was charged with third degree criminal possession of stolen property, police said.
The two will be held at the Third Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday.
