Turkeys Needed for Long Islanders in Need!

This Thanksgiving, Lighthouse Mission wants to give a frozen turkey to every family that attends its outreaches, and we can use your help!

Thanksgiving & Christmas are just around the corner, and perhaps you’re busy planning how you will celebrate. But did you know that there are people RIGHT HERE on Long Island with the same excitement who don’t bring home enough income to provide for their families? Even right now in our own communities, many families don’t know where their next meal will come from.

The good news is that YOU CAN HELP! You can do something about it. How about showing how thankful you are this season by helping local families in need by giving to Lighthouse Mission this Fall?

Lighthouse Mission is Long Island’s LARGEST and OLDEST “Mobile Food Pantry”, serving more than 2,000 struggling Long Islanders across 9 communities each week. Since 1992, Lighthouse Mission has been working with Long Island’s poor through its Mobile Food Outreaches, which bring fresh produce, canned goods, bread, and more directly to communities in need.

This Thanksgiving, Lighthouse Mission wants to give a frozen turkey to every family that attends its outreaches, and we can use your help! So when you’re out shopping for your family, please consider purchasing another turkey, so that another family can enjoy the holiday.

Not able to afford a second turkey? We’ll take donations of any non-perishable food items (stuffing, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, etc.) and bring them along on our outreaches.

Your contribution to Lighthouse Mission will help bring food and hope to families in need right here in Suffolk County. All donations of food and funds stay on Long Island.
