WATCH: Firefighters Battle Brush Fire at Captree Boat Basin
The fire broke out on Sunday night.
Members of two local fire departments battled a brush fire at the Captree Boat Basin earlier this week.
The Bay Shore Fire Department responded on a request for mutual aid to West Islip Fire Department at the basin in West Islip on Sunday night.
Once on scene, firefighters from the Bay Shore Department helped the West Islip firefighters "secure a water source on land and drafting from the bay using Marine 26," according to the department.

Once the majority of the fire was knocked down Bay Shore, was released by West Islip Command.
No injuries were reported.
