West Islip Man Found In Possession of Child Pornography: PD

WEST ISLIP, NY — A West Islip man was arrested and charged on Monday, after an investigation found him in possession of child pornography, Suffolk County Police said.

Nicholas Pedagno, 73, was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, a felony, police said.

Upon examination of his portable electronic device, investigators found several accounts during which Pedagno identified himself as a younger person in various chat applications, police said.

Pedagno is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on April 15.

Detectives are asking anyone with information or who believes they may be a victim of Pedagno to contact the computer crimes unit at 631-852-6279.
