WI Alumni Lacrosse Report: Gonzalez Tallies 27 Points in 2 Games
Here's a look at how former West Islip High School lacrosse players fared for their new schools last week.

Every Monday during the college lacrosse season, Patch will update you on the progress of former players. Since there's so many to count, we won't be listing every player each week.
Player of the Week: Peter Gonzalez (SUNY Cobleskill, So.)
It just seems whenever there's an onslaught of points in college lacrosse, there's a decent chance that player hails from Long Island. And more specifically, West Islip.

Well check out what Gonzalez did last week. First, in a 22-1 thrashing of Penn State Abington, he put up six goals, nine assists and scooped nine ground balls. Then, in a playoff clinching 21-9 win over Wells College, the sophomore put up seven goals and five assists. I'm pretty sure that'll get you Player of the Week over on this weekly report everytime.

Crimi was recently named Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week for her . She backed up her award with a four goal performance in a dominating victory over No. 8 C.W. post on Friday, then three more on Saturday in a 22-2 win over Bentley.
Nicky Galasso (UNC, Fr.), Ryan Flanagan (UNC, Sr.)
Not sure if it's a surprise, but it sure is an enormous honor. Flanagan and Galasso were both named All-ACC selections. In addition, Galasso, who has already tallied a UNC freshman record of 53 points, was named ACC Freshman of the Year. Flanagan, a senior defenseman, is also up for National Defensive Player of the Year honors.
Ian Braddish (Hofstra, So.)
The eighth-ranked Hofstra Pride are peaking, and so is the sophomore transfer. In the Pride's latest 14-5 win over No. 15 Umass, Braddish netted one goal and assisted on two.
Rebecca Monteith (Oneonta, Jr.)
Monteith followed up last week's POW honor with five goals in a 15-12 victory over Utica last Wednesday.
Ryan Zaremba (Geneseo, Fr.)
Zaremba killed it for Geneso on Saturday, recording 16 saves in a crucial 10-9 win over Plattsburgh. He now has 127 on the season.
