A woman died after a house fire in West Islip on Saturday evening, Suffolk County Police say.

WEST ISLIP, NY — A woman died after a house fire in West Islip on Saturday evening, Suffolk County Police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 7:49 p.m., when a caller reported a fire at a Myrtle Ave. residence, police said.

An adult female, who was alone in the house, died in the fire, police said.

Officials have not yet determined her identity, police said.
The Suffolk County Police Department's homicide squad and arson section detectives are investigating; the investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature, police said.
