1st Baby Born New Year's Day At Westchester Medical Center

The baby girl was born to an Ossining resident, a spokesperson for the hospital said.

VALHALLA, NY — A couple of hours after the calendar changed to 2024, a baby girl was born to an Ossining woman at Westchester Medical Center.

The first baby of 2024 born at Westchester Medical Center is Aisha Victoria Ardon Monroy.

She was born at 2:10 a.m. Monday to mother Marcela Monroy of Ossining.

Aisha weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces at birth and was 19-1/4 inches, according to a hospital spokesperson.

Mother and baby are doing well, officials said.
