Health officials said it was confirmed in a 66-year-old resident with underlying medical conditions, who is hospitalized.
Health Commissioner Sherlita Amler, M.D., said the second case of West Nile Virus should serve as a reminder for everyone to take precautions against mosquito bites by removing standing water from their property and using repellents when spending time outdoors, especially from dusk to dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.
